Journey to a Solo Exhibition.

Reflection on Eight Years of Evolution.

As I sit down to prepare for my upcoming solo exhibition, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has led me to this moment. It's been eight years since my last solo exhibit, a span of time during which my work has evolved into something deeply personal and profoundly meaningful.

Since 2016, I've been captivated by the concept of time—that elusive natural element that governs our existence and shapes our perception of reality. In my quest to understand this enigmatic force, I've embarked on a series of projects that have taken me on solitary journeys, exploring the depths of my own mind in search of visual poetry.

The images I've curated for this exhibition span the past three years of my artistic odyssey. Each photograph is a testament to the quietude of my creative process, a meditative endeavour wherein I find solace and inspiration amidst the silence. It's during these moments of introspection that my mind conjures fantasies of scenes that defy conventional visualisation.

Preparing for an exhibition of this magnitude is no small feat, especially for someone like myself who is meticulous and perfectionistic by nature. The printing process, however, is a source of immense joy and satisfaction. I've been fortunate to collaborate with Matthew Briffa and his team, whose expertise and craftsmanship have elevated my work to new heights.

When it comes to choosing the right fine art paper, the decision is instinctive for me. Time and time again, I find myself drawn to the Smooth Cotton Rag from Ilford Gallerie—a sublime canvas for my black and white photography.

Of course, mounting an exhibition of this scale comes with its own set of challenges, not least of which is the financial burden. I am immensely grateful to have the support of sponsors like Photo Images, The Blind Stag Barber, and Whizzart Graphics, whose generosity has made this dream a reality.

But beyond the logistics of printing and framing lies the heart of the matter—the inauguration day. It's a moment of anticipation and excitement as I eagerly await the arrival of art enthusiasts and fellow creatives to celebrate the unveiling of my work.

While the sale of prints is certainly a welcome bonus, what truly matters is the connection forged between artist and audience. It's a validation of countless hours spent honing my craft, a testament to the power of visual storytelling.

As I embark on the final stages of preparation—updating my website and promoting the event on social media—I am reminded that the true measure of success lies in the collective appreciation of art. And for that, I am profoundly grateful.
